For authors and researchers planning a book or a larger project: defining the scope, identifying the record groups and archives to work through, and setting a realistic sequence for the research.
How I Work

Military personnel records from this period are incomplete. The 1973 fire at the National Personnel Records Center in St. Louis destroyed a large volume of Army personnel files, so a pilot’s service often has to be reconstructed from unit records, mission reports and other sources.
Every report I deliver cites its sources and distinguishes what the records establish from what they only suggest.

Each project is quoted individually, because the records available, and where they are held, vary from case to case. After you send an inquiry, I will review what you have and reply with a proposed scope and a quote before any work begins.
I take on a limited number of research projects at a time. When I reply to your inquiry, I will let you know my current availability and when work could begin.
